This is an incredible high definition footage of the birth of the F5 tornado that struck Moore, Oklahoma on May 20, 2013. The videographer displayed great bravery to remain filming the behemoth from such a dangerously close vantage point.
When you watch real-time how quickly the funnel forms and grows and hear the plaintive sirens wail, it is indeed miraculous that more lives were not lost. The tornado has left nearly 5000 homeless and sadly nine who had only just started their lives were lost. All should join in supporting the victims of this tragedy.
